Meet Dillon

I’m a recent graduate of Nipissing University’s Bachelor of Business Administration program, and I’m currently pursuing my Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. My education has given me a strong understanding of financial accountability, responsible budgeting, and the importance of making sure every dollar is spent effectively.

I’m also confined to a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy, and I rely on my wheelchair to navigate Ottawa’s streets, sidewalks, transit system, businesses and public spaces every day. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on the challenges many residents face — and the opportunities we have to make our city more accessible and inclusive.

As I spent time in Somerset Ward, I noticed areas where our city could do better. Whether it’s accessibility barriers, unreliable transit, housing challenges, or concerns about how taxpayer dollars are spent, I believe residents deserve a councillor who listens and advocates for practical solutions. That’s why I decided to put my name on the ballot.

My campaign is built around a simple idea: residents deserve a strong voice at City Hall. Somerset Ward is at the heart of Canada’s capital, but sometimes local concerns can feel overshadowed by the larger political conversations happening around us. I want to make sure the people who live, work, study and run businesses in our community are heard.

I’m not running because I have all the answers. I’m running because I believe Ottawa can do better when residents are listened to, when accessibility is prioritized, when public transit works, when we tackle homelessness with compassion and practicality, and when taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Together, we can build a more accessible, connected and inclusive Somerset Ward.
